Dr. Matt Kolmann (he/him)
I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at University of Louisville (in Louisville KY). I'm interested in the evolution of form and function - how an animal is shaped and how this shape pertains to its ecological role. Students in my lab follow similar lines of inquiry or focus on either the morphological, ecological, or evolutionary perspectives on structure and function. And everyone, including me, works with fish - anything from sharks, rays, bettas, or piranhas!
Devya Hemraj, MSc.
Devya is a new PhD student in the lab - from working on cichlid communities and ecomorphology, she'll be working on piranha and pacu evolution and dietary ecology in the lab (among other things).
